Junior Rep Cricket

18 Jan 2020 by Jason

It has been a busy 2 weeks for a lot of juniors playing representative cricket across three different competitions.
First off, a congratulations to all that were involved as you have represented your club, association and yourselves well over this period.

For then VMCU competition all of our u12 and u14 teams made the QF with the U12 shield team making the Semi Final.
Our U14 boys have done exceptionally well with the Box Hill Reporter U14 Russell Allen Shield team competing in the Grand Final tomorrow at Ferndale Park, Glen Iris at 10AM. If you are around and have nothing to do head down and support the boys.
For the U16 teams we have a few boys in the Ferntree Gully team, with them finishing 11th and 9th.

For the Craig Shield representatives,
both the Box Hill and Mt Waverley teams putting in some great games with 2 wins each finishing 4th and 5th respectively.

For the YPL representatives, in the u16’s, the Sharks team finished 6th overall and in the U14’s, the Emus finished second by .16 percentage points.

Overall it has been a great coupe of weeks of cricket and I hope the boys have enjoyed their time and learnt a lot. A big thanks to all the parents and players who have represented the Hawks so well over these carnivals.

Good luck to Anshu Panjikar and Pratheek Nelluri in the u14 Final tomorrow and to Spencer Storan who will be competing in the YPL Super Series on Tuesday and Wednesday.
